Living God, our hopes are easily discouraged, our confidence is quickly shaken, our faith is as fragile as a tender reed. When our footsteps falter, remind us that we are your beloved children, the handiwork of your gracious love. When the odds seem stacked against us, and we are about to lose our courage, give us the strength to stand firm and hold fast to your promises. Forgive us when we cannot see in ourselves the fruit of your salvation working within us. Help us be the people you would have us be, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
