OAHSPE is an unusual book in scripture format which I'm sure freaks a lot of people out on first contact- it claims to be a new bible, and is very different from the known Bible- the blow to Christian egos especially seems sometimes almost too much for them to withstand,, often... what I can explain is there actually is compatibility with better known religion, as follows: Before the Religion Of True Belief split or fractured into Twelve, there actually was a formless monotheism which is called Faithism- there was some language associated with this, which we find in OAHSPE. This is actually historically true. As regards trying to walk the Path of Faithism, Christianity or something else might be better for a person of course. The book is meant to enlighten and inspire. I don't know who is leading that sect at present if anyone. The Twelve Religion teaching comes from Paul Twitchell's The Spiritual Notebook- yes, I believe this is also compatible with Eckankar teachings, if not so much exoterically, which can be thought of as having even more ancient origins. Adam and Eve fits in in a certain way... only a couple of paragraphs are devoted to Joshu, a Hebrew prophet, who the text explains was stoned to death under a tree- the divine author who gave the book per John Ballou- a certain god- did not think he should emphasize Jesus. This might be according to the aeon and quality of religious teachings available in the latter part of the 19th century thereabouts. Special more real-McCoy spellings of known names such as Spenta Armaita are in the book, e.g. Cpenta Armaij...
